    What did you go with as far as a tiller , hydraulic or mechanical, do you use it sailing or only motoring I’m an looking at hydraulic, either 7 or 12 inches long
    how did you measure it.? where did you put the tiller base? Sorry for all the questions but I am new to this

    I too am looking at a b&g, in the meantime would like to use a temporary depth sounder that goes in the boat, until I have the cash for the b&g

    i am thinking electric with a 5kw generator.cost around 20k
    what type of system do you have i am thinking quiettorqe electric yacht
    9000 for motor and controller and controls and and 5000 for batteries and 6000 for generator. tired of dealing with combustable engines.

    they were talking about the pearson 36 1971

    The good news is that the lead keels are “J” bolted to the keel stub with 5/8″ bronze threaded rods and then all glued up with polyester resin. The keel won’t fall off even without nuts on the bolts.

    i ask this because my survey mention it could be a big problem . i didnt think the 424 had keel bolts. i did find a discussion about it and they claim that there are bronze j bolts 5/8 in diameter ?? just would like to know . is the encapsulation strong enough ?? can it be renforced? just a newby
