      Happy Thanksgiving fellow 424ers;

      This is a shot in the dark to see if anyone has an answer to this one: I pulled my motor (W58)to work an oil leak from the oil pan. The motor is hanging in the aft cabin as we speak. I found that one of the rubber semi-circular pieces that go around the crankshaft or timing cover casting areas is badly deformed. Got pinched or something during the last install. The gasket kit I have has simple cork pieces for the purpose of sealing these two areas (in place of the current rubber pieces). Problem is, I don’t know if the cork pieces are appropriate for my particular oil pan. I’m going to investigate further today. Anyway, the rubber appears to be a much better fit, but I need at least one replacement. Don’t know where to get it. Anyone had this challenge?

      Would this work? Great company and ships very fast to the US.

      Yep, I saw that one. That set has the cork gaskets for the fore/aft. I already have those. The good news is that after some investigation I think I can use the cork. It’s an interference fit into the groove in the crankcase so I believe it will go ok. I have the side pieces already, thanks to the PO.

      Appreciate the response!
