All,
I’ve been working on the site off and on over the last couple of days, while the developer gets his head around the specifics of the task of making sure the list serv (the software that handles the email) supports images and can store the posts in the new forum software. Technical stuff, I know!
Several of you suggested I put a Paypal donation button on the site. This has been done (by me, because it is relatively easy to work with).Â
I would like to explicitly commit to share every single transaction that comes in and goes out of these funds. I am not expecting anything from anyone, and am happy funding the whole effort myself. However, if you do choose to donate, I would like to be clear about how your donation is used.Â
The good news is that there is a ton of content for the site based on all the hard work and many contributions many of you have made over the years. The bad news is that it has to be cleaned up and ordered again, so as to be useful and accessible once more. I’m also working on a better login/registration page, although you will be able to use your existing Google, LinkedIn or Twitter credentials if you have them. This way, its not another password and user name to remember.Â
With WordPress, you’ll have a mobile-optimized site, and we’ll also have a better image gallery to allow a more diverse set of photos!
Hopefully I’ll be able to update later on in the week.
Thanks and have a great fall day!
Ewan
