I had a mechanic come to the boat today to perform a valve set and we discovered a broken valve spring. Westerbeke states the valve springs (part numbers 024426 and 024425) are no longer available.
My engine is a Westerbeke 63C which is a Mazda S2.
Anyone have a source for after market Westerbeke parts?

Short answer is that mechanic removed a ‘good’ spring and I took it to a automotive machine shop. He measured it’s size and compression….. He called a guy who provided a perfect match….
Mechanic came back and reinstalled the good spring and replaced the broken spring.
She started and ran great in the slip… will take it out this afternoon and push it to normal rpms…
I plan to post some helpful contacts and sites when things settle down…Rick
