Awesome, Ewan! So if I attach a photo, as I am doing now, does everyone who receives the group emails receive this photo? And/or, does it get posted somewhere on the website?

Never mind. My email just answered its own question. I received it back via the group forum. The photo itself was no longer attached, but a link in the email now leads to the photo on the website. I also see a thumbnail link for it on the website itself, beneath my “posted” message under your “Update on the Site: IMPORTANT” topic.

 

All clear.

I got the email and the photo was an attachment url. So it works. 

I have a question. Does everyone get every email or just included when they comment or show an interest in a topic?

The way it works is that you can subscribe to one or more (or none!) of three forums. Whenever anyone sends an email to the forum, or posts to it directly on the website, an email is sent to everyone who has subscribed. When they respond, either on the web, or by email, it’s posted to the web, and sent around to everyone who is subscribed. That way the conversations stay available in one place – the website, for non-subscribers to search and review.

At least this is the way it works now! We might investigate making an email digest later, but right now this is what we(finally) have.

I’d like to be signed up for all P424 emails. Apparently I’m already in for General Discussion and Announcements (since I receive those), but not for For Sale (since I’ve not received any from there). How/where do I sign up for the 3rd forum?
