Thanks  Rich ,I think i will take it off and see if i can reseal it as I have a slight leak in one and do not want opening ones

Of course it has to be  the one above my bunk and drops onto my head

I have the original opening ports in the head, shower, galley, and aft cabin.  I pulled them all out, had them sand blasted, powder coated, and installed new lenses.  I found no manufacturer ID on any of them.

Mine have been replaced by Lewmar opening ports – I’m dumping these and getting 4 x 626SS from New Found Metals.
      Expensive, but they’ll outlast me.

Mine were non opening and had tempered glass not Lexan or acrylic like the  salon and fore peake

Once i get it apart I’ll have a good idea on what makes it tick.  If only silicone or sealer should not be a probs

      Thanks for your input

      Regards

Having an opening port above your bunk is great if it doesn’t leak.  I replaced the port over my aft bunk with a new opening Bomar port years ago and never regretted it.  The only trick is to remember to close it before it rains!  Unfortunately, this port is slightly smaller than the fixed ports.  I’ve never had a leak in my fixed ports.
