Participantoriginal with W58 for me was 18X11. I had it repitched to 18X13. Test is
to use an accurate tach and run the boat up to rated RPM. You should top out
at the rated RPM (or pretty close)at full throttle. Our tachs are notorious
for being way off, so be sure to adjust your tach first with a photo tach or
something similar before making your test run. Then you increase or decrease pitch as needed to either increase RPM or
decrease RPM at full throttle– at least that’s the theory!Rodd Leeds

I’m not being terse. This is from my mobile.

ParticipantI purchased the new prop for my boat from “The Prop Shop” (800.634.8318). The contact was Gary (direct 425.745.1700). The prop is made by ZF Prop, located in Taiwan. The cost was $440+shipping, with a turnaround time of 8 weeks. Evidently it has to be made and is not off the shelf.
Higher priced props can be purchased from US companies, but I’ve been told the quality difference is negligible. This is the first prop I’ve ever replaced, so I’m relying on my research here. I am replacing the old 3 blade bronze with a new one.
