      I am installing a Tidesmarine dripless shaft seal (stuffing box) http://www.tidesmarine.com/shaft-seals.html on Eclipse.
      It requires a source of water to keep it cool.

      I have a anti-siphon valve in the engine coolant water supply line between the heat exchanger and exhaust elbow.
      Tidesmarine recommends that the water pickup for the shaft seal should be on the appropriate side of an anti-siphon valve… to keep water from siphoning back from the shaft seal into the engine.

      Does this mean I place my T for water pickup for shaft seal… between the heat exchanger and the anti-siphon valve or between the anti-siphon valve and the exhaust elbow?

      I think it means that you place it somewhere between the raw water pump and the anti-siphon loop; after the heat exchanger sounds fine. Otherwise any leak in your shaft seal will fill your engine exhaust and may backup into your engine. On my engine, the exhaust riser is above the waterline so it would be odd for water to backup in there, but your installation may be different.

      What you suggested is where I thought it should be.
      I had off today (77 degrees) and went to the boat (2 hr road trip).
      (Applied Poli Glow that looks very good.)
      Ran into the Marina manager who confirmed the location of the T for water pickup in relation to the anti-siphone valve.
